April 24, 2006—Production Update
For the first part of 2006, cameraman Shawn Emery worked on a variety of projects.
- During the Sundance Film Festival, he shot celebrity interviews and "swag" stories for VH1 News, walking up and down Main Street too many times to remember. White Rabbit Productions was the local production company.
- Salt Lake City's Dunn Communications hired Shawn to shoot a segment for Discovery Channel Canada about the Utah Capitol renovation.
- The documentary, "Salt Lake City to Torino," that Shawn Emery shot the Spring and Summer of 2005 aired on the Salt Lake City PBS-affiliate KUED this past Winter. Shawn was hired by Dunn Communications.
- Once again, Shawn spent much of this winter on skis and cramp-ons on assignments for Egan Entertainment Network, The Park City Chamber Bureau, Jalbert Productions (U.S Ski Team) and Alta Ski Area. He also shot the U.S National Freestyle Championships at Deer Valley for NBC Sports and the North American Gelande Championships at Snowbird.
- Colortone Staging and Rental hired Shawn for several live events held throughout Salt Lake-area.
- He also shot news and variety segments for HGTV through Ron Hill Imagery, Bloomberg Television, and KSL News.
McCann Erickson
Shawn was hired to shoot High Definition and SD projects for the Salt Lake City-based advertising agency. Shoots for Verisign and SCT/Sunguard took him to Alaska, Georgia, Washington DC, and California.
Castle Creek Productions
This Santa Monica-based production company has hired Shawn as a DP/Director for several episodes of The Great Adventure, a travel series on The Fine Living Channel. Past shoots include skiing segments in Banff, Alberta and Zermatt, Switzerland, service-projects in Peru and Haiti.
